I did this today.

I got a hair cut today - much shorter than usual. I love it!

While I was getting my hair cut, my dad called - he was still in KC and we spent that afternoon together! We had dinner together yesterday,  then he was supposed to hit the road up to Chicago today (he's a truck driver) but he got one more day in town to hang out and it was AWESOME. :) Totally the highlight of my year! He is the only member of my immediate family I have seen since I moved to Missouri almost five years ago, and we've only seen him four times in five years at that, so this was a big treat for me. Such a wonderful twenty-four hours. ♥
