Help me save the world!

If you have been following my business for any amount of time, you know that all my products are made from textile discards, which is a fancy way to say post-production materials, which is a fancy way to say thrifted or gifted fabrics. I rarely buy new materials from big box companies because it is important to me that my business has a positive impact on the world. Buying thrifted materials reduces pollution and packaging waste, and also supports locally owned businesses and keeps money in the local economy. I also ship all of my orders out in recycled boxes, and dice scraps from all of my monsters to use as stuffing or to fill dog beds with to donate to local animal rescues so there is absolutely zero waste from my Mon-stors going into landfills.

 

I want to further reduce my business's footprint on the Earth, though. I would love to be able to order all of my business cards and promotional materials on recycled paper that is biodegradable and  I would really love to place a bulk order of organic, natural wool felt for monster eyes so I can replace the brand of felt that is currently available to me locally that is produced in a high energy, high pollution factory. I would also love to be able to buy textile discards in bulk from local businesses to turn into Mon-stors!

These are all things I have been steadily working towards, but thanks to Intuit's Small Business Growing Strong campaign, it could become a reality much sooner!
